Unlike a point-in-time check, a SOC 2 Type II examination evaluates both the design and operating effectiveness of controls over a sustained period of time, demonstrating that Blockdaemon’s safeguards are consistently implemented and operating as intended.
Blockdaemon’s Layered, Standards-Led Security Program
SOC 2 Type II underpins Blockdaemon’s ongoing commitment to a layered, standards-led security program. It also overlays the technical protections customers use daily.
These include Tier 3 data centers, 50 Tbps DDoS mitigation, 24/7 monitoring, strict role-based access controls, strict change control workflows, encryption in transit and at rest, and continuous testing. These controls build operational resilience.
Strengthening Blockdaemon’s Security Posture

This milestone complements Blockdaemon’s ISO 27001 certification, which governs our information security management system, as well as GDPR compliance. Additionally, the EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) came into force on January 17, 2025, requiring banks and other financial entities to prove that their third-party ICT providers maintain resilient, audited controls.
